Married in Love
This is a collection of couples I’ve married or couples whose vows I’ve renewed, or inspiring couples that I just want to share.
Lauren & Matt, 2016
Lauren & Matt were married at the 1774 Inn in Phippsburg, Maine (www.1774inn.com). What a glorious wedding. The location is heavenly. Green hillside overlooking a pristine cove. The bride, the flowers, all of their amazing dresses – truly one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever witnessed. Note that I only “witnessed” this wedding. Lauren’s uncle, a prominent NH attorney, was actually set to perform the ceremony when they realized the breadth of his legal authority to marry people did not include the state of Maine. So the Phippsburg Town Clerk suggested a Maine Officiant witness the event and complete the marriage license for him. I couldn’t have been more pleased to have been picked. It was my pleasure to play even a tiny role in Lauren & Matt’s beautiful wedding day. (Courtney Lucas Photography)
Joel & Helena, 2014
This is Joel about to marry his beautiful wife Helena. The sweet location is a friend’s backyard on the water in South Portland. What a perfect day. They only gave me a week’s notice – when Joel & Helena decide something they evidently go for it! Their daughter Janee was just a baby then; now I hear she has a new baby brother – congratulations to them all! This couple has the most wonderful friends who provided amazing food, music, libations, and all the love & good wishes any couple would need to start a new life as a married family of three. Now four! (Photo: Jen Joaquin, Vibrant Art Studios)
Vincent & Laura, 2016
This is Vincent & Laura: They’ve got to be New York’s Most Romantic Couple. They took a break from their busy lives & renewed their vows at the Popham Chapel in Phippsburg, Maine. It was a simple, standard ceremony on paper. But standing with them at the altar took on a different, higher meaning. They’re so in love. Vinny wanted to renew their vows at a little chapel by the ocean at sunset. That vision came true. We played music. Read passages. Renewed vows. It was so amazingly romantic. I’ll never forget them & their beautiful ceremony in the little church by the sea. (Photo: Claire Winston-Wade, Ham & Cheese Photography)
Officiating Moments
The three of us standing at the altar is the most intimate, unexpected and meaningfully unique moments I’ve ever known. This gallery is dedicated to those special moments.
Kylee & Steve, 2017
I believe I’m laughing at the bride’s vows. She’s reading something like “I promise to laugh at some of your dumb jokes but NOT ALL OF THEM. She said that last part really slowly and seriously. Hilarious. This is Kylee & Steve getting married at The Mooring in Georgetown, Maine. It’s a beautiful B&B/wedding venue. The owner’s son, a real Maine lobsterman & caterer, put on the elaborate lobster bake reception right on site. Fun fact: The owner’s father donated the land for Reid State Park. Dogs in Weddings
As a wedding officiant, my standard questionnaire for couples now includes questions about dogs attending the wedding. It’s become that popular a trend and I couldn’t be more pleased. Enjoy these photos of couples who feel the same way – dogs belong in weddings!
Madelaine & Jarrett, 2013
I wish I had married these two! Madelaine with her new husband, Jarrett and the world’s Cutest Corgis, Penny & Henry. I’ve known Madelaine all her life and it’s incredible that she survived my care and has become such a beautiful and happy person, now with a beautiful and happy family! (Photo: Jeff Cook Photography)
Ashley & Roderick, 2016
This must’ve been a gorgeous wedding! This is Ashley with her handsome husband Roderick & their 4-legged family members at their beautiful summer wedding in midcoast ME. The miniature Australian Shepherd on the right is Popeye, who not only attended the wedding but had an amazing adventure right after… read all about it in my blog. (Photo: Kate Crabtree Photography)

what "I do"
❤ The three of us will have an Introductory meeting usually in person, via phone, FaceTime or Zoom.
❤ I’ll provide support and on-going consultations right up to ceremony time. From rehearsal, to the recessional and I can even advise not only your unique ceremony, but your processional order, programs and what your guests toss as you depart.
❤ I’ll assist with any questions you have regarding venues, vendors, your marriage license, certified copies and name changing
❤ I’ll direct your rehearsal covering everything from where everyone stands before the ceremony to where everyone goes for group photos after; from how to walk up the aisle, to the bridal handoff at the altar, we’ll get it all down pat & have fun doing it.
❤ On the big day, I’ll officiate your marriage ceremony, using a full script that we create & customize together.
❤ I’ll complete your marriage license, obtain witness signatures & promptly submit the marriage license to the county office that issued it.
❤ I’ll provide you with a decorative marriage certificate suitable for framing (not a legal document).
